Key Points:
Ground floor :
The elevator is planned in the shaft below the powder room. A two-passenger elevator without a lift pit or machine room is being considered.
The library and bar counter are planned in the space between the lift and the TV wall. Lockable bar storage can be provided under the staircase.
It was decided to have wooden flooring in the Upper Ground living room.
The window in the kitchen will be converted into a door to access the utility area planned along the side setback.
The clients have requested a glass wall between the utility and the planter to prevent the entry of snakes.
Doors are planned on either side of the utility space.
The powder room is now re-planned in the current utility area.
The extended roof for the powder and the utility need not to be a concrete roof
The dining room is extended by 8 feet towards the sit-out.
The pooja unit and crockery unit will be accommodated in the gap between the dining area and the duct wall.
First floor :
On the Upper First Floor, it was planned to break the wall between the bedroom and the balcony, combining the space to include the son’s wardrobe, study (Lego-themed), piano, and bed with extended steps.
A deck is provided from the son’s room over the portico below, to utilize the space as a sit-out.
In the Lower Ground Floor, the existing wardrobe and toilet space will be split to accommodate a guest bathroom and a worker’s room with an attached bath.
Entry to the worker’s room will be restricted within that zone, ensuring privacy.
The bedroom on the Lower First Floor will be used as a guest bedroom.
Second floor:
A mezzanine level will be introduced in the double-height bedroom for wardrobe and storage space.
